A policy rating is an additional percentage that is applied to your premium. It’s a way for insurance companies to adjust your rate based on your health history. So, if you have a pre-existing condition or maybe aren’t quite at your ideal weight, you might see a small rating on your policy.
But don’t worry! These ratings aren’t always permanent. Sometimes, if your health improves, your rating can be removed after a year or two, and you could even save some money.
