What’s a telephone or telehealth interview?

It’s a simple chat with a health professional to get a better understanding of your overall health:

  • They’ll ask questions about your lifestyle and medical history. This might include things like whether you smoke or drink, if you have any health concerns, or if you’ve had any surgeries in the past.
  • This chat usually happens when you’re applying for a smaller amount of coverage, or when additional tests (like bloodwork) aren’t needed.
  • After the interview, the insurance company will review your information and decide whether further tests are necessary. If not, you’re one step closer to getting covered!
